OB told me today that my belly's going to be huge, because I have a "short torso". The baby's gone up about as far as she can go, and will only be able to go out at this point. Ugh.
I'm 5'11"-ish, I just have disproportionately long legs.
On a more positive note, we had our 26-week appt today. Baby sounded good (see next post) and OB seemed to think everything is going well. We have one more monthly visit, and then start visits every 2 weeks.

Pictures, as requested...
The normal "belly shot". I wore the same sweater as last time, so you can see the difference 7 weeks makes! The last one was taken in week 18. Not sure why my posture is so weird....

And then a special one. For the UK basketball game watch parties, I made a special shirt to wear - "Future Wildcat on Board". I'm holding the outfit that I'm sure my baby will be SO excited to wear during basketball season.

Week 25
Month 6! This month (weeks 25-28), baby is an eggplant. During this month, my little girl could range from 13.5 to 15 inches long, and from 1.5 pounds to 2.2 pounds. Also, I will go from 2nd trimester to 3rd next week! Wow.
I think this month will fly. It includes the big events mentioned a few posts below, the "due date" for our baby furniture and hopefully a lot of rest! And then there's the wiggly anticipation of my baby showers in month 7! :)
I have some new pictures to share. Check back in a day or so, and I'll try to get them up.

Week 23
Week 23 - Things are starting to get busier! I'm on my way out of the 2nd trimester this month and into the 3rd! We have a lot of things coming are way, including... February: hosting a wedding shower for a good friend and going to my brother's wedding in Texas; March: two baby showers (Columbus - local friends and some family; Dayton - Roberts family and some friends) and my good friend's wedding. I'm hoping to leave April pretty open for relaxing and last-minute baby stuff.
We've already done so much to prepare for our little girl! Nursery is painted and just needs a few more touches. Furniture is en route. We bought ahead on diapers - seems like we have a ton, but it's probably only a month's worth! We've bought clothes when we find them dirt cheap. It seems like we have a ton of baby gear already and there's plenty more to come! Going to Babies-r-us is like an addiction for me - both in the store and online - it's fun to play with our registry and dream of what is to come.
A change for me this week was noticing that I need to slow down. Chris and I tend to do major errand-running a couple of times a month when we have a free day down in Columbus - like several hours of knocking things off a mental shopping list. This past Saturday, I learned that we just can't do that anymore. My body spoke to me, and I had some worrisome symptoms. It wasn't really anything that some rest and a ton of water couldn't cure, but it was still a major reminder that I need to start taking it easy. Chris put me on house arrest on Sunday and took good care of me.
Baby and I are doing well!

Week 22
Week 22! Things changed in my world of fruits and vegetables. Now, baby is compared to the same thing for a month. I'm very sad, because I looked forward to seeing each week what size my baby would be. But now - for month 5 - baby is a papaya until I'm 25 weeks along.

During this month, my little girl will range from 10.5 to 12 inches long, and from 13 ounces to 1.3 pounds. She'll go from being completely dependent on the womb, to being potentially "viable" if something were to happen. Big month, huh! But I'm not intending for her to make an early exit -- she'd better hold tight for another 18 weeks!
She's still quite active in there. I feel kicks all day long, and the occasional bout of hiccups. Each visit to the OB allows us the opportunity to hear her heartbeat, which is going strong in the 150's. But this last appointment, we could even hear every time she kicked me! That was funny, and interesting because I learned that I don't even feel every kick I receive! She is sure active in there. Perhaps she is just really tall, like her mama's side of the family.
