Weeks 11 and 12

Sorry I've not posted recently. Amelia is still doing well. She's smiling consistently now (when she's in a good mood!), which makes the grumpy times much more tolerable. She's still dealing with reflux and colicky behaviors, but we understand her more and know how to respond.

Amelia's starting to learn things more and more. Her current thing is that she will reach out and touch something that you hold out in front of her. She prefers her right hand, so I guess we see which is dominant for her!

Amelia's also in love with her new swing. Finally something she can be left in for a short while and be content! We've tried numerous other options, so this really is great. We all went to a party on Saturday and it was a later night than we'd typically have her out for (she doesn't go to bed until late anyway), but she was very happy and easy-going the whole time. She sat in her swing for a while and even napped in it for a bit.

Week 10

Amelia is 10 weeks old today!

Last week, she had a fun time hanging out with Daddy again. Then, on Saturday, she got some babysitting time with "grandma" Melissa and Gabby. She'll be going there one day a week starting this week, to give Daddy some time to work.

On Sunday, she enjoyed her first Randy's concert at the Westerville Arts Fest! Michelle came out to join us, and would not let Amelia go! :)

Two Months Old!

Amelia turned two months old on July 5th! Here are some smiley pictures that we got that morning.

Here are some pictures from her trip to the Pediatrician for her two-month visit. These are pre-vaccinations, so she's still happy. She loves looking at herself in the mirror. :)

Amelia is now 10 pounds, 2 ounces (31st percentile) and 22.5 inches long (49th percentile)!

4th of July!

Amelia enjoyed the 4th of July. She had a bit of a fussy morning, but it all improved when we got to Beavercreek! Family was everywhere! :)

Baptism

I forgot to post about Amelia's baptism!


She was baptized on Sunday, June 22nd. She did not enjoy it very much, but I think she enjoyed the time with family and friends. She had a lot of guests - all of her grandparents, two great-grandparents, uncle Jeff and 4 cousins, Michelle, and Melissa and Gabby!


It was an entertaining event. Amelia did not appreciate the water, and screamed the whole time (into the pastor's microphone).

Weeks 8 & 9

So I haven't posted in a while.... sorry!

In weeks 8 and 9, Amelia was busy having fun all day with Daddy. They went on walks and explored the neighborhood. Amelia likes to ride in the Baby Bjorn and look out the side - she loves to look at trees!

Uncle Brent came into town, bringing Aunt Meredith and Cousin Ethan. They spent a couple of nights with us and then the rest of the time with the rest of the family. We went over there on the 4th to join them for a couple of days.
