Christmas picture shenanigans

I'm waiting for a good weekend day to (attempt) to photograph Amelia's Christmas pictures. Our current budget doesn't allow for a special photographer, and JcPenney always has mixed results, so I thought perhaps using our fancy camera we could pull something together ourselves.

I figured we can dress her up in her Christmas attire, take her to a park (hopefully it's warm!), and follow her around as she explores.

Hopefully I can catch her in some cute moments! Then, I will be using Shutterfly to make some cute photo cards.

They have some adorable christmas photo cards this year. I'd like to make something that (hopefully) does not get tossed in the garbage right after the holidays.

I've used Shutterfly in the past to make photo books.... who am I kidding, tons of photo books! I also love their wall calendars.

I used Shutterfly to make her Halloween card this year, and I think they turned out great!

At first look, this design is jumping out at me. I think it's pretty cute -- how about you?

Weekend Fun! November 18-22

Okay, so this extends away from the weekend a bit, but you'll forgive me, right?

Thursday 11/18

The local zoo had a members preview night for their big Christmas light display, so we bundled up and headed out:

Saturday 11/20

She was pretty upset when we got to our destination, because we skipped another stop (a friend's birthday party). She was appeased by a frosty:

We went to our friend Michelle's house, that she just moved into, to check out the place and watch the game.

Michelle started up her tradition again of measuring Amelia's height on her wall:

Sunday 11/21

All dressed up for church:

We got home from church and had some lunch and Amelia got a nap. We woke her up about an hour into it to walk a few blocks down for the town's annual Christmas parade:

She was a little annoyed at being woken up, until she saw all of the fun:

We got home with plenty of time for Amelia to run around outside...

And dance a bit...

Next, Amelia's buddy Joey came over with his family for some dinner and some fun.

At the end of the night, it was time for hugs:

It was a great night!

Monday 11/22

Haircut time! Amelia gets one about every 3 months:

She got the usual - trimmed bangs, cleaned up ends, and the bounce returned to her curls!

Weekend Fun! November 12-14

Friday 11/12

We had a family dinner out at one of our favorite local joints. Amelia has been learning to speak Spanish to communicate with the server, Anna.


Then, we headed further south to check out a new location of a local favorite ice cream company -- it's seriously good stuff and now only about 20 minutes away!

Fairly low-key Friday night, but fun time as a family.

Saturday 11/13

We hung out at the house all morning.

Next, we headed outside to take advantage of the nice weather. I wanted to take some fun pictures outside.

Later, we went to a football game at Daddy's university:
