Luca had a fabulous birthday! He loved all of the attention from family and friends, and going to church on his birthday (the pastor shares his birthday!).
Luca took his first two steps the night before his birthday, with a few tries the next day.
Luca had his 1 year check up a week later, and his weight was 21 pounds, 10 ounces, and his height was 30 inches. Everything was pretty much in line with his growth thus far. A few vaccinations, but he took them well. The pediatrician said that he looks good and is developing well!
Luca is such a happy, smiley, sweet boy. When he smiles, he scrunches up his cute little nose. He loves his parents, but his sister is his best friend. Luca is so interested in everything -- exploring, watching, playing, clapping his hands, trying to say words, eating a wide variety of foods, etc.
Luca is definitely a big light in our lives. Amelia loves him to bits, even though she isn't always so gentle about it! She loves to carry him around, until he expresses his frustration, and Mom/Dad tell her it's time to put him down. :)
