Big girl dressed up for a big morning with Mommy:

First, we got breakfast together.

Next, we went to the grocery store and Amelia cashed in her piggy bank for a new toy.

Then, we went to the administration building, and got her all signed up for Kindergarten in the fall!

Finally, we went to her preschool together for her class Spring party (sorry, no pics).

On Saturday, Grandpa Larry and Marilyn came over for dinner and to go to a tournament game with us.

On Sunday, we saw Grandpa again, because we were meeting up with some folks in the area.

And we finished out the weekend with a visit to Great-Grandpa Byron on his 93rd birthday!!!

Luca - 18 months!

Luca is 18 months old!

His 18-month stats:   25 pounds, 4 ounces (50th percentile) and 33.5" (75th percentile).  He took the (single) shot like a champ, with just a short little peep of a cry.  The Pediatrician declared him perfect and was impressed with his talking and fine motor skills.   He's consistently and appropriately using about 35 words now, and has begun stringing short sentences ("I see that", "I want that", etc).  '

Luca has a full mouth-full of teeth, with all but 6 of his baby teeth (waiting on the bottom canines to push all the way through, and the 2-yr molars).  He takes each new tooth in stride, thanks to the teething necklace he wears 23+ hours/day (except bathtime!)

Luca's super into: balls, cars (especially the little ones like Matchbox cars), his "DADDY!!!!", doing whatever Amelia's doing, VeggieTales, hot dogs/corn dogs, and simply being "one of the gang" (hanging out with older kids).  He's still super sweet, but with a fiery temper when he is being kept from what he wants. 

Unfortunately, in nearly 5 years of baby well-checks, we had a first ... No pictures from the appointment!  :(

Weekly Fun - February 25 - March 3

Luca's new thing is to put his arm up like this (with a giant smile on his face) if anyone else does.  We're not sure why he does it, but it's hilarious.
