Fun With Daddy!

Our babysitter took a week off in July. Chris and I traded off time with Amelia, but the bulk of it rested on him. Here are some pictures from their adventures together!

Nature Park/Play Day

First they went to local nature park, where they rehabilitate injured wildlife.

Next, they went to a local playground store, where for a small fee, they let you play without pressuring you to buy anything.

I think she wants to be a gymnast like her cousin Eli!

They really had a great few days together -- I was so jealous that I was stuck working!

Weekend Fun - July 30-31

Saturday 7/30

All dressed up for her final dance class!

This is the class we got to sit in on, to see what the little girls had been up to.

After class, we went to a festival at a local market.

Amelia was really interested in the bounce house:

And she did really well at eating lunch, so she got an ice cream treat:

At the festival, she had found a couple of pine cones that she wanted to do something with, so we had a little craft time.

She was pretty proud of the pinecone/puff-ball creations she made:

After her nap, we went back to the festival, because there was a band playing that we liked.

It was super-hot out, so Amelia and Mommy got snow cones.... or as Amelia called it "big blue yum yum yum!"

The band was great, so we had a really nice night.

Sunday 7/31

We went to church in the morning:

After a pretty big day the day before, we decided to just hang around the house on Sunday afternoon/evening.

It was a fun weekend!

Weekend Fun - July 22-24

Friday 7/22

After dinner, we had birthday cake, in honor of my mom's birthday

Saturday 7/23

In the morning, Amelia had her dance class:

When we came back home, we took turns keeping Amelia occupied while we finished up her big girl room. You saw the big reveal in a past post, but this was the day we finished it up.

I can't really recall doing much else this day!

Sunday 7/24

In the morning, we showed Amelia her new room, and she spent like an hour exploring everything and looking through books.

Then, we headed out to church.

After church was nap time, which was only mildly successful, due to the excitement of the new room.

Later, we met my Dad and Grandparents for dinner, sort of a birthday remembrance dinner for my Mom.

Of course we had to have birthday cake!

It was really nice to see family, and Amelia was so excited to tell them all about her new room.

It was a nice, relaxing weekend!

Weekend Fun - July 16-17

Hmm.... can't recall what we did Friday night!! Not much apparently.

Saturday 7/16

All dressed up for dance class:

We went to class and then stopped at the farmers market.

Then Grandpa arrived for a little overnight visit!

Sunday 7/17

After church, we went out for lunch and then came back home for nap time.

Dad stayed for dinner and then headed home. It was a really nice weekend and a nice visit!

Amelia had a play date with her two little friends. They are getting ready to move away, so this was pretty bittersweet.
