Weekend Fun - June 24-26

Friday 6/24

On Friday night, we went to our church small group. Amelia loves hanging out with the other kids.

And the dessert!!

Saturday 6/25

In the morning, we went to dance class first:

Next, we drove down to Cincinnati and did some shopping at IKEA.

Third stop was Kings Island! We had some (free!) tickets to use, so we decided to have a family day. And Grandpa Larry met us there!

Amelia had a great time....

She rode some rides by herself:

A couple with Mommy...

And a few with Grandpa...

And a couple with Daddy:

And some with some new stranger-"friends":

This ride was her absolute favorite:

She rode every ride that she was tall enough for in the kids zone, and we walked around the park together. We also went on the big train.

We finished our day with one more carousel ride with Grandpa:

And the Snoopy ice show:

It was a really fun day!!

Sunday 6/26

All dressed up for church:

Afterwards, we played at the house and got some work done.

Amelia worked hard on this ice cream:

It was a really fun weekend!

Weekend Fun - June 17-19

Friday 6/17

We hung out at the house together, because Daddy was getting home from a trip to Baltimore.

We were very happy to see him!

Saturday 6/18

In the morning, we ran some errands - the farmer's market and a little shopping.

Testing out some chairs:

Later, we went to a local event where you could check out beautiful, expensive homes that you would never be able to afford. :)

But we got free tix as guests of Subaru, so it seemed like a fun thing to do.

Lunch at the Subaru event:

Meeting the Subaru dog:

Amelia loved checking out the homes, and really liked this little hidden cubby-hole:

Sunday 6/19

Father's Day!!

Daddy opened his presents, including this awesome, hand-colored tie:

The princess before it was time to get ready for church:

All ready for church! Two cool kids:

Then after church, we had a nice father's day lunch out:

It was a nice, and very relaxing weekend!

Baby Update - Family Ultrasound!

This past week, we took Amelia to meet her little brother on screen.

Playing in the waiting area:

Then it was time for the big show!

Amelia had a great reaction to seeing "Teeny Baby":

Every time the tech would play the heart beat, she would put her hand over her mouth:

She was really interested in it all ... for about fifteen minutes. Then she checked out the toys in the room, specifically there for bored siblings.

Baby profile (looking up) - you can see his little nose and mouth:

Same view, with his little hands up:

Little feet sticking straight up, kicking Mommy:

Baby looked really good. He was estimated at approximately three pounds.

The tech said that if he went to term, he could be around 8 pounds and 20 inches. However, he was measuring 2.5 weeks ahead (of the norm for babies of this age), so maybe we might have an August baby!

Weekend Fun - Part 2 - June 11-12

Saturday 6/11

We had a relaxing morning and then checked out of the B&B.

We did some exploring around the area, including an antique shop, a few farm markets, and the local winery.

From the winery...

Meanwhile, Amelia and Grandma Dona went to the "world's longest breakfast table" back at the cereal festival.

Chowing down on her favorite - Raisin Bran!

And then did a little running around...

And then some dancing to the music:

We all met up back at Grandmas's house, and said our goodbyes.

Then, it was time to head over to Grandpa Tom and Grandma Linda's house.

After dinner, they had a little (belated) birthday celebration for Amelia:

Excited for cake!

Blowing out her candle:

Check out this cake-eating focus:

And then Mommy got a bit silly:

Grandpa Tom had a bunch of Kellogg's shirts for her - including Raisin Bran!!

And then it was present time!

A princess book!

It came with little figurines and a map:

And then the present she has been DYING for - "My Little Pony" Princess Celestia:

Helping Grandpa open his birthday/father's day presents:

Sunday 6/12

Going for a little tractor ride with Grandpa:

Playing with her new friends:

After a morning of playing at the house, we went for a pizza lunch....

... followed by ice cream!!!

Then it was time for hugs goodbye:

And our little family headed back home!

It was a great weekend!
