Luca - 6 Months Old!

Luca is 6 months old!!

At his 6 month checkup, Luca was measured at 18 pounds, 2 ounces (70th percentile) and 27.5 inches (75th percentile).... big boy!! He gained almost 3 pounds and 2.5 inches in the past 2 months.

He is now sitting up on his own (until he's done and tumbles over) and rolls very well. We've added to his diet oatmeal, pureed peas, pureed bananas and rice biscuits. He still has no teeth yet. He prefers to sleep on his belly, and is still not sleeping through the night (or anywhere close to it).

Weekend Fun - March 2-4

We got Luca a new toy - a doorway jumper.

He really loves it!

On Saturday, the kids and I went to a UK alumni basketball game watch:

On Sunday, Luca was pretty fussy (not feeling well and teething), and wanted to be latched on to me. Here's the view from above of the pitifulness:

I tried to get some Luca-free time...Amelia was reading him a book, while he jumped:

He wasn't happy for long, so Sissy was giving him hugs:

We've had illness running around our house for a little while, so not much else happened this weekend.

Week 25 & Weekend Fun - February 24-26

This is my fancy new toy.... we got a webcam for the nursery, and we can pull up the feed on our phones/ipods/computers:

Amelia vacated her highchair, so Luca could start joining us at the table:

He's still eating cereal, fruit/veg purees, and now these rice biscuits called "mum-mums". He LOVES them, and is really good at feeding them to himself:

Grandpa Larry was coming to visit, so Amelia picked out a cute outfit to impress him with:

On Saturday, we just hung out with Grandpa around the house. No special plans...just family time!

On Sunday, we all went to church together:

Later on, Luca tried peas for the first time:

A few more snuggles and laughs and then it was time for Grandpa to head home:

It was a great visit and a great weekend!

Week 24 & Weekend Fun - February 17-19

This week, Luca started sucking in his bottom lip, which is super cute.

Also, he began to SIT UP UNASSISTED!!! Big Boy!!

This week was Valentine's Day. Of course Mommy made them stylish outfits to wear for the occasion:

On Saturday morning, Amelia asked for some girl time alone with Mommy. So after I put Luca down for his morning nap, she and I took off.

First, we went to breakfast together:

On Sunday, the kids got back in their Valentine's gear for church:

Daddy wasn't feeling well, so he stayed home. When we got back, Amelia read him a story to make him feel better:

We got a new bath seat for Luca, so he could take his baths with Sissie.
