Amelia's Newest Tricks

FINALLY, I am getting around to this post!

She's changing every single day.

Biggest Amelia tricks...

* Dancing. She does it all the time.

* Feeding us. She likes to hold out her finger foods towards our mouths, to allow us to share in the yumminess.

* Mimics. We make a noise or say a word, and she does her best to do the same. It's great! :)

* Extremely social. She thrives off of being around people and getting attention.

* Climbs over things when crawling. This includes tackling people and kitties.

* Lifts flaps on books. She loves to do this, especially with her Grandma and Grandpa books - she knows where the flaps are and how they go!

* Rising to a standing position without assistance. She just started doing this in the last couple of days. Mostly she just pulls or pushes to a standing position, but sometimes she can handle it without assistance. She can push up on soft/unsteady things, too.

* She's starting to get better about balance when standing. She can handle just one hand or a light touch to stay upright.

* She reaches for people she knows (and sometimes doesn't know!). She is awfully brave about going to people.

* She also thinks it's funny to get in mommy's arms and then reach for daddy; then get in daddy's arms and reach for mommy; repeating this over and over, while laughing

And the BEST ones....

* She responds to requests for kissies! She totally learned this on her own and it's adorable. She favors me with this one, and just lays one right on me. :)

* She's learning new words, probably more than we know, since it's up to us to pay attention and figure it out, since they don't always sound right. We just realized today that she kept saying something like "ditty tat" (kitty cat) or even sometimes just "cat" when she sees Penny and Bella. She called my parent's cat "ditty" too, but I didn't believe that she was making the connection, but of course she is! She still says "ducky" too, if you're lucky enough to catch it!

I love this kid. She's fun. She's bright. She's the light in our lives.

I LOVED that while she was here she said, "Daddy, daddy, daddy ... daddy, daddy daddy ... etc. She's going to be a talker like her Mommy! And soon, very soon, she'll be running around that circle from your kitchen to your dining room, to kitchen to the ... Wild & crazy - and FUN!
