Amelia's been having digestive issues lately. I made reference to it in my post about the great Palm Sunday yuck-fest. It's been on and off for a few weeks -she'll be fine for 3 days and have a bad day, fine again, bad again. Well, the past couple of days, it's clicked that it only happens when she is at her babysitter's house, or when we're out on the weekend and she's getting formula (still nurses at home - yes, I'm a glutton for punishment nursing a kid with 8 teeth). Last weekend I forgot to pack bottles (can you believe that??), so she nursed all weekend, and was perfectly fine.
Today, she's home from the Sitter's - we're taking a sick day together. Something just keeps getting passed around there, and I guess Amelia's being blamed for it. So I'm hoping to get her back to normal over the 3-day weekend, so if there's issues there next week, it's not our fault! :)
Today, I'm picking up some soy formula. They say that digestive issues take longer to pass in an infant, because it's so new to their little bodies. If the dairy in the formula is the culprit for why her tummy is still rumbly, hopefully a change in formula will help.
Keep us in your thoughts/prayers!
Oh and THANK YOU to everyone that supported us in the MS Walk. Unless Amelia's a mess in the morning, we'll be Walking for so many people that need help. We've raised $145 so far, and our 3 teammates will each turn in at least $25 each in pledges tomorrow. Pledge center: http://walkoha.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR?px=2150189&pg=personal&fr_id=9561

I hope the formula switch does the trick!!!! ((HUGS))
I'll bet the formula is the culprit - particular with Chris' dairy product allergy. Let's pray that she will outgrow this, and also that the soy milk will agree with her. And, now, you're not a glutton for punishment. I nursed one of you for 13 months, and I cherish the memory of nursing you all. The 2am feeling was my favorite - just you and me ... our special time together. People thought I was crazy to think I loved that time - well, in the dark, quiet night, sitting with you and praying for your future - your time through your school years. AND that's when I started praying that God would send you a special, loving, Godly man to whom you'd be married. You married Chris, the man that all Mothers & Dads hope their son-in-law would be! We consider him our son-in-love, as you know. Anyway, keep plenty of extra outfits in the diaper bag! This, too, shall pass! Love, Gma R
