Mid-morning, Chris and Amelia hit the road to visit his family up north. I'm still accruing vacation time after our Italian adventure, so I stayed home.
On the way up, they stopped at a McDonalds in a Walmart near Fort Wayne. Amelia enjoyed her chicken nuggets, apples and milk:

Trying to feed Daddy some apples:

After lunch, they were heading out, and Amelia saw one of those coin donation-things, where the coins spin around the funnel until they land at the bottom. She was dismayed that Daddy had no change, but a nearby lady was quick to offer up her change, and sat there enjoying Amelia's fun for about 10 minutes.
Soon, they arrived at Grandpa's house! Grandpa grilled chicken and made some other yummies.
Amelia enjoyed helping Linda water the plants:
Daddy likes taking artistic, angled shots:
Amelia delivered Grandpa his father's day/birthday gift:
And showed him how it works:
He figured it out:
Monday 6/21
On this day, they hung around the house all morning, having play time:
After a nice nap, they walked down to Gull Lake:

Later, they had dinner at a local Italian joint. Amelia asked for beans to go with her pizza..... a pairing that she grew attached to in Italy. She proceeded to not eat any pizza, but ate tons of Grandma Linda's spaghetti.
Tuesday 6/22
On this day, they went to the local zoo!

Amelia enjoyed riding the red ant on the way in:

Next, they stopped at the snack bar for a popcorn snack:

And then they rode the tram into "Wild Africa":

They checked out the roaming animals in the field - there were giraffes, gazelles, zebras, ostriches, etc:

And they got to feed a giraffe!

Next, she checked out something in the primate family:

It was a nice day, full of fun activities!
Wednesday 6/23
On this day, Amelia and Daddy hung around Grandpa's house in the morning, watching a little of the World Cup. When the US scored, Amelia said "awesome!"

Gramma walked her around, so she could say hi to everyone:

As usual, she liked to lead the way:
And point out the animals she found:
They got lunch in Wild Africa - Amelia got a hot dog, grapes and yogurt! She got a play camera with her meal:
Amelia really enjoyed herself at the zoo with Grandpa Tom and Grandma Linda. She was quite the trooper, not getting a good opportunity to nap, but still having a good attitude.
Next, they went to see Gramma Dona. Amelia showed off her new dress-up clothes:
Gramma wanted to introduce Amelia to one of her favorite hobbies - the local baseball team:

You can almost see in the above picture that Amelia wore a tutu skirt to the game over her shorts, as well as a bead necklace. She really liked the game.
For their last activity of the day, Daddy, Gramma and Amelia stopped at a local park, right by the stadium:
She was getting tired, but she still liked playing on all of the equipment:

They packed up the car, and gave lots of goodbye hugs. They headed over to Gramma's house for lunch.
Next, they went to Gramma's office, so all of Amelia's admirers could see her again.
