Weekend Fun! February 18-20

Friday 2/18

Amelia was finishing up a bout of something (a little infection), but still wanted to take a moment to enjoy the nice weather outside....

Going for a spin:

Riding her scooter:

Collecting the tiniest rock ever:

Happy Girl!

Saturday 2/19

I don't really remember what we did Saturday morning, to be honest.

The key part of the day was that Amelia napped really well. Because of this, we thought that we could all go to a hockey game, because Chris's college team was playing nearby.

We thought that Amelia's cold was gone. We were wrong.

She had a great time during the first period.

The end of the first period - our team was up and things were good:

Well.... then the second period started, and Amelia's ear started hurting. She's never had an ear infection that we know of, and this was never a complaint with the cold that she'd had - but I think the cold ice rink and all the loud announcing/music started to bug her.

About halfway through the second period, she started crying and wanted to leave. So we did. She cried the whole way home and was pretty miserable.

But you know Amelia.... the next day she woke up talking about how much fun she had at the hockey game, and any signs of being sick were long gone.

Sunday 2/20

We were worried that her cold was still lingering, so we stayed home from church, so she wouldn't get any of the other kids sick.

We hung out around the house and let Amelia play.

She disappeared for a bit, and returned with Chris's jacket on - so silly!

Then insisted on a much more cute ensemble:

It was a fairly quiet weekend (except Saturday night!), but we had a good time!

Playing Catch-Up: January 29-February 14

Sorry... life has gotten away from me, and I have not updated the blog in a few weeks.

So here's a quick run-through of what you've missed. It really has not been much, in terms of adventures and pictures. Chris has been super-busy with work, and Amelia and I have been fighting off a couple of cases of winter sickies. So we really have not done a whole lot lately! And I have found myself grabbing the camera less. I promise to work on that.

But here goes...

Saturday 1/29

Chris went out for the night to watch his college hockey team play nearby. Amelia and I stayed home and hung out together.

Little Cinderella watched a "My Little Pony" movie with her Ponies:

Sunday 1/30

The pre-church shot - in her Sunday best:

Hanging out with Daddy later - "painting" on his ipad:

Friday 2/4

Local "Chocolate Walk". Amelia got loaded up on an excessive amount of chocolate as we walked around downtown. I feel bad that we did not get a picture of the chocolate mess that she was.

Saturday 2/5

We had a big day planned. First stop - a Valentine's party!

Amelia made herself at home with the girly dress-up stuff:

Such a little princess:

Playing with the other kids - she LOVED this catch-the-butterfly game!

Second stop - we went to Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa's house for a visit!

Amelia enjoyed hanging out with them, and entertaining them with her antics.

She disappeared for a little while, and we knew where she'd be.... hiding in the bed in Grandma Cathy's old room:

Third stop was at Uncle Jeff's house. It was cousin Monica and aunt Laura's birthday celebration, so we hung out there for a couple of hours for play time and cake!

Fourth stop - Grandpa Larry's house for a quick nap. He'd been hanging out with us since stop 2.

Last stop - Dinner with Joey's family! These two hadn't seen each other in a few months, but they picked up where they left off!

And then it was time to head back home, after a long, FUN day!

Sunday 2/6

I think we took it pretty easy this day, due to all the activity on Saturday. We did not make it to church in the morning.

Enjoying a snack with Daddy after naptime (hence the crazy, comfy pants):

I think Amelia had started noticing by then that I was taking less pictures, because on both Monday and Wednesday, she asked me to take her picture in the morning before she left to go to her Sitter's house:

Friday 2/11

We joined our local Friday dinner group for happy hour dinner. Amelia enjoyed seeing her buddies.

Saturday 2/12

Mostly, we just hung out around the house while Chris got caught up on work.

But we did get away to go to a women's basketball game at Chris's school. Amelia is adored by many members of the team, and the head coach, so she obviously enjoyed herself. And she made a couple other little friends at the game.

Sunday 2/13

The usual Sunday morning pre-church pic. I could not decide which of these was cuter:

Monday 2/14

VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Amelia had a little party at her Sitter's house. When she came home, we had some goodies for her too.

Like a "My Little Pony" coloring book:

Valentine's peeps:

A brand new My Little Pony for her collection:

And a little light-up puppy that says "I ruff you!"

She enjoyed a bit of candy too:

So there you go -- all caught up! Thanks for your patience!

Weekend Fun! January 21-23

Friday 1/21

We met up with friends downtown for a quick dinner. Amelia enjoyed hanging out with her little buddies.

Saturday 1/22

We got Amelia tickets to Disney Princesses on Ice!

Our little Cinderella got all dressed up to go:

She was so excited to check out the arena and the ice when we first got there:

One more posing princess shot:

So happy to be with Daddy!

In our seats:

With Mommy:

Ready for the show to start:

Clapping for the princesses:

Really into the show:

Going for a little run during intermission:

Amelia really enjoyed the first half - there were 6 princesses featured!

She was really excited for the second half to start - it was going to be all about Cinderella!

Amelia had a great time, and we really enjoyed sharing it with her. She thought it was great to be all dressed up, and seeing all the other little girls in their outfits, too.

We brought her home and she napped well.

We spent the evening hanging around the house as a family.

Sunday 1/23

All dressed up for church:

After church, it was nap time.

Later, playing with Daddy on his "puter":

That night, after dinner, we skyped with Grandpa Tom and Grandma Linda:

It was a really nice, but pretty quiet, weekend!
