Friday 8/5
Friday night, Amelia had her last swim class of the year. I'll share some pics in another post. And then we went downtown briefly for First Friday.
Saturday 8/6
In the morning, we got up and got ready - we were taking Amelia to a Sibling Class, so she could learn the basics of being a big sister!
She was pretty excited:

Heading into the hospital... not where I'll be delivering (they were all booked up for this class):
Ready for class to start!
First, we learned about all the kids and future siblings that were in the room, and then watched a video.
Next, the kids sat together with their babies, and learned some basics about baby care and safety:
Then, it was time to learn how to swaddle:
Giving her baby a hug:
Wrapping the baby again:
Look at the way she looks at a fake baby! Makes me excited to see her face with her little brother! :)
The big girl was rewarded with lunch out -- chocolate chip pancakes!!
It was time to head back home for a nap.
Later, we decided to head back out to a local festival - Amelia wanted to wear her Angels hat:
Like Daddy:
She rode a couple of rides - really liking this helicopter ride:
When you pull the bar back, it goes up higher (this is on her way up):
It was a corn festival, so some yummy corn was on the menu of course!
And her favorite... a "big blue yum yum yum" (blue slushie):
Sunday 8/7
All dressed up for church:
After church it was nap time.
Later, she decided that she wanted to play with her big bin of blocks:
Concentrating very hard.... (check out her little tongue out)
It was a great weekend.... time as a family and a few little things to get ready for the baby!
