Week 40 & Vacation Part 1

Week 40 - official pic!

Due to a surprise change in jobs (for Julie), we quickly planned a trip out east to see Chris's family.

All ready to go:

We stopped part way and met up with one of my friends and her daughter, Sophia, who is the same age as Luca.

They certainly had eyes for each other:

Amelia seemed a bit jealous:

We had a few other stops, including this one where Amelia played ball with daddy:

And shared a snack with Luca:

But there were also naps, thank goodness!

We got to Grandma June's house and settled in to bed.

The next morning, both kids woke up raring to go:

While Daddy and Amelia went to spend the morning with the other grandparents, Luca and I met up with a couple more friends of mine, for a baby lunch.

These two were old pals, so I think Luca felt like a 3rd wheel:

We went back to Grandma's, so Luca could get a nap.

Amelia and Grandma really enjoyed playing together:

After naptime was over, we went over to see the other grandparents again.

This was their first time seeing Luca, and it went great!

We headed back to Grandma June's house for dinner.... including filling balls!
