So we went to Cookie Cutters for their official "baby's first haircut" experience.
Amelia was strapped into a little airplane ("air-pay") and Dora was put on the tv in front of her.
The stylist wet down her hair and (with our permission) gave her curls and layers a teeny little trim.
Amelia just hung out and watched tv.
And then she wanted to help (she's holding a comb):
And then the moment of truth.... the big trim of the bang area (she took off about an inch):
And then a little mousse and some scrunching of the curls:
TA-DA!!!
We love it. Her bangs are short enough that they can lay down flat and aren't in her eyes, but long enough that they can be swept off to the side. We can still use the clippies when she will let us.
And she got a certificate for "bravely submitting to the scissors of our stylist and meeting all of the requirements of a first haircut", which included a picture and a lock of her hair.
And since it had been over 4 months since we last had professional pictures done, we thought this might be a good opportunity for some pics at JcPenney.
