On Friday night, we got a babysitter for Amelia, and Chris and I went to some friends' Christmas party. It was fun, and Amelia had a great time with Miss Annie.
On Saturday morning, the teens at our church were doing a fundraiser where they were watching the little ones, so their parents can do Christmas shopping or whatever. We didn't have much shopping left to do, but we definitely had a basement to re-organize!!
Amelia loved the tree at the church, so I grabbed a couple of snapshots before leaving:
And then two little "elfs" distracted her while we snuck out:

We went back for her after about 3 1/2 hours. She was the only one her age (the rest were 3-10), so she had her own sitter following her around and playing with her, while the older kids worked on projects. I guess we should have told them that Amelia makes the most awesome craft projects at daycare and she would have loved frosting cookies, too!
Oh well, she had a great time.

Later, we worked on putting up our own Christmas tree. Amelia did not help too much... she kept taking the ornaments right back off:

We kept the big tree to unbreakable ornaments only. We have a small tree on our dining room table, which has our breakable/sentimental ones.

On Sunday, we hung around the house, let Amelia play, and wrote our Christmas cards.

On Sunday, we headed to church. Amelia enjoyed the kids' Christmas pageant.
After, she ran around the church, probably feeling much more like it was her "turf" after her morning there on Saturday.
She ran around like a crazy little thing, along with her buddy, Carrick:
She was getting a lot of laughs, running around the church like she owned the place. She definitely has a LOT of energy.

Like I said.... a very low-key weekend. It was very enjoyable!
We even snuck in a little photo shoot. It was impromptu, after we realized that we hadn't ordered enough of Amelia's Christmas pictures.
Amelia looked cute, but.... between the logo on Chris's shirt shining through (it was inside out), my crazy hat hair, and glare from eye glasses, we decided against printing off any of these.
