Weekend Fun!

On Friday night, we took Amelia down to an Easter Egg Hunt.


She was all ready with her basket. Though it was more of a egg pick-up than a "hunt", but it was fun anyway.

She played with this giant ball while we waited in the loooong line:

At the end, she was subjected to a little time with the Easter Bunny. She was not thrilled. I will spare you the other picture, in which she was glaring at the camera.

And she ended the night by making a pair of bunny ears:

On Saturday afternoon, it was time to go to the first Crew (soccer) game of the year!!

On Sunday, Amelia woke up with a little cold. She was pretty miserable.

She and Daddy stayed home from church, and she spent most of the day like this.... watching cartoons:

Like anytime she has a cold, it was a struggle to get her to eat anything.

Cookies and juice seemed to do the trick!

She had a really miserable afternoon nap, but yet when she got up, she was about 50% back up to her normal self!

Don't worry.... she woke up today doing MUCH better. Of course, now Mommy and Daddy are fighting it off!

Saturday Silly Stuff

My "terrific thursday" is 2 days late... so I gave it a new name.

And some weeknight adventures....

On Monday night, Daddy had a meeting so Amelia and I went out to dinner.

We went to Mimi's, where while you're waiting for your food, they bring your kid a nice plate of goodies:

It was nice of them.... except then she didn't eat any of her kids meal.

On Tuesday night, we went to get Amelia's Easter pictures taken.

On Wednesday night, we went for a walk around the neighborhood, which of course included an ice cream stop:

Weekend Fun!

We had a great weekend with Gramma D in town!

She arrived as "Namma" and definitely left as "Gramma" -- Amelia even kept calling around the house for her the day after she left!


On Thursday night, we went on a walk:

Amelia spent Friday at home with Gramma, instead of going to her Sitter's house. They played around the house, spent over an hour at the park, and enjoyed lunch out together! Amelia crashed for a serious nap after.

On Friday night, we walked around downtown for a bit.

Later, Daddy returned from his conference! Amelia was so excited!

On Saturday, Gramma played with Amelia while Chris and I got through some spring cleaning and other house work.

That night, Gramma was on kid duty again, giving us a much needed date night!

On Sunday, Amelia put on her OSU gear to root for the Buckeyes in the tournament!

Gramma left that morning to head home to Michigan.

After her nap, Amelia and I went for a walk.

Terrific Thursday!

Today's Terrific Thursday is in honor of Chris (AKA - Daddy) who is out of town for work.

These pictures are from 2 weeks ago, on a night when he was at a late meeting. Amelia and I went downtown and worked on his birthday present.

Amelia painted a pretty new coffee mug for Daddy:

She worked very hard on it, and Daddy loves his awesome new mug.

Weekend Fun - Part 2

Saturday... Daddy's Birthday!!

When Amelia woke up, I could hear her stirring, because I was still upstairs (Chris was downstairs). I snuck in some balloons that I had stashed in my office, so when he walked in to see her, she was standing in her crib, holding balloons and saying "Happy Birthday!"

Downstairs negotiating just WHO those balloons belonged to:

Chris was running in a race that morning (just what everyone wants to do on their birthday - right?), so Amelia and I went down to greet him at the finish line.

We did a little birthday shopping and then had lunch together, before coming home for Amelia's nap.

Amelia had scored balloons at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, so she had quite the balloon bouquet at home.

After her nap, we went to birthday dinner with Joey's family:

YUM!!!

Afterwards, we went to a cell phone shop, and while we were waiting to be helped, Amelia was entertaining all the other customers. She was introducing them to her toys and us, and hopping and twirling all through the store. She is definitely not shy!

Sunday....

We went to church together, and then headed to the North Market.

We had tickets to be tasters at a cupcake competition. Amelia was NOT happy to wait until the official "eat" time:

She really had a great time, because a few of my friends were there too. She truly has no problem making friends with anyone and enjoys entertaining. She loved the cupcakes, too!

It was a great weekend!!
