He brought flowers home, which Amelia immediately took possession of. She sobbed when she heard they were for me.

Weekend Fun!

On Friday night, we had a pretty crazy night.

We all went out for dinner with the usual Friday night crew, but Amelia was having nothing to do with this. She was acting so crazy that I needed to leave with her, while Daddy got the food packed up to eat at home. We're in full-on terrible two's and sometimes you just can't reason with her.

On Saturday, Mommy ran errands all morning and Amelia had lots of Daddy time.

They went over to the college and played in the gym:

Amelia had a pretty pitiful version of a nap that day, and was pretty grouchy for about an hour after she woke up.

Daddy had a soccer game to attend that night, so it was Amelia & Mommy time!

We went to the library to pick out some new books.

And then she looked for books for us to bring home:

We stopped at the cafe to share a drink before heading home:

Since Daddy was gone, it was a perfect night for pizza!!

She clearly knows that her birthday is coming very very soon!

On Sunday morning, we hung around the house.

She's very proud of a job well done! (Mommy did most of the work though)

It was a fun, relaxing morning playing around the house before Amelia's nap, and a full afternoon of shopping for our trip!

Weekend Fun!

On Friday night, Chris and Amelia went downtown for happy hour with friends, while I went out with a friend. It was a much-needed mommy night off.

On Saturday, Amelia and I got up early to head down to the Zoo for the MS Walk.

It was rather cold and she didn't seem thrilled to be there:


And then Michelle came to join us!

They enjoyed walking together:

Afterwards, we went to see Daddy, who was helping a friend move. We saw Amelia's buddies Joey and Max and played with them for a bit!

Next, Mommy and Amelia went to the mall, because it was time for her to pick out her summer shoes!

She picked out these lovelies at Stride Rite -- they're from their new washable line, so they will be perfect for a busy, messy toddler!

We went home for nap time, and Amelia was so excited to see Daddy when he came home right after!

Sunday morning, Amelia was being awfully goofy in her pj's.

And then she HAD to have her winter coat on:

And she enjoyed giving the kitty "brushies":

We went to church later in the morning, where Amelia gave the nursery workers (her parents) much attitude.

We had lunch with Joe and Dee, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

After naptime, we just hung out together around the house.

Day at the Park!

Last Monday night, Chris had a meeting, so Amelia and I went for a dinner date at the park.

And she was a huge fan of the little piano toy that came with her meal. This is her singing me a song:

Best Parents Ever.

We just ordered tickets for Amelia's first big show: Storytime Live!

It features all of her favorites from the Nickelodeon channel: Dora, Backyardigans, Wonder Pets and Ni Hao Kai-lan. She will be in heaven.

It's in the same theatre that we go every year for our Broadway series, but (with a season ticket holder special) I got tickets in the front section, so she won't miss any of the action! Haha-- this shows how we put her first, we've never sat that close! :)

I can't wait to see how excited she gets!!

Sunday morning....

As Chris was getting Amelia dressed for church, she said "I'm hungry. I want cereal". I love having a kid that tells us what she needs! :)
