Weekend Fun - Part 1

Friday night--- We went to dinner with our happy hour crew. Amelia was pretty active, keeping people entertained with her antics.

On Saturday morning, we went to go get Amelia's hair cut.

The last time I got my hair cut, my stylist pointed out that her kid's rate was cheaper than we were paying at the other joint, so I thought it would be perfect for the girl that has cut Mommy's hair for 7 years to cut Amelia's hair, since our hair is so similar.

She didn't want to sit on the chair alone, so Mommy suited up, too:

After the hair cut, it was time for Amelia's 2nd birthday pictures, at Innis Wood Metro Park.

First, we had to get her in the mood... juice should do the trick:

And then we had to chase her down, so we could get her dressed and polish up her hair:

Awww.... so pretty!!

And then it was picture time!!

It was a great morning, the photo shoot went fantastic, and we got Amelia home in time for a nap!

Later that night, our friends Joe and Dee came over for dinner. Amelia is a big fan of both of them, but she really LOVES Joe, and he's a pretty big fan of her, too. She loves to show him around, play with him, and get airplane rides.

They brought fabulous monkey-design cupcakes, that Dee made (or "monkey cakey", as Amelia calls them):

It was a great day!
