Haircut #4

Weekend Fun! August 20-22

Friday 8/20

Daddy went out both Friday and Saturday nights, so Amelia and I had some fun together.

Friday was pool night:

Saturday 8/21

We went to a local market, which was having a mini festival, with fun stuff for kids.

Learning how to make a corn tortilla:

First, mixing:

Next, pressing:

And of course, after it was cooked, eating!

Followed by another yummy sample, ice cream!

Next, there was a kids' activity:

Making things out of yummy, fresh fruits and vegetables!

Amelia was more interested in eating than making.

After we left there, we saw a local church advertising a community festival, with a "bounce house". Amelia would not let us pass it by....

Bouncing time! She's still talking about wanting to go back:

But it was time to go home and take a nap. And when she got up, Daddy left us for the night again!

Tonight's girls activity - making beaded jewelry!

Of course, she wanted to use the pink ones first:

And then started sorting the others by color:

We had a great time with this activity! We made 6 necklaces, 4 bracelets, and a ring!

Sunday 8/22

Amelia woke up happy, and was eager to show Daddy the stuff she made the night before:

She was casting spells on us - "abbra cadabra!"

Time to get ready for church!

Chris and I were on nursery duty this week:

We had a couple of other kiddos in there with us.

We celebrated making it through without too much kiddo drama by having a little lunch out:

Weekend Fun! August 12-15

Thursday 8/12

On this day, we all drove up to see Chris's family. We spent the evening with his mom, who we stayed with.

Friday 8/13

After breakfast, we went over to Grandpa's house.

After lunchtime, Grandpa filled the pool:

Which, of course, Amelia loved:

But then she got bored, and went for a little run into the woods:

And played hide-n-seek with Daddy:

But she kept getting distracted by other things...

Ultimately, she was led back to the water:

Later, we headed back to Grandma Dona's house, because Mommy and Daddy were going out for the night, so Amelia and Grandma were gonna have a girls' night.

Saying goodnight to Mommy and Daddy:

They went to a baseball game!

Amelia had a great time at the game.

Saturday 8/14

Pancakes for breakfast!

We met up with some of Chris's friends and their kids at a local park:

Amelia could NOT get enough of the swings:

But she enjoyed hanging out with another little girl:

It was a great time at the park.

After, we all went for some lunch, and then to a program at Chris's former high school.

Amelia loved the candy for the kiddos:

We headed over to Grandpa's house next, where Amelia had an early dinner with her cousins:

After a little play time, we headed back over to Grandma's, because Mommy and Daddy were headed out again!

Sunday 8/15

We hung out with Grandma all morning, and then said our goodbyes:

And then went back to Grandpa's for a little more family time before we headed home:

Lunch time!

We hopped in the car, and after a long drive, we were home! It was a busy busy weekend, but a lot of fun.
