Weekend Fun! July 30-August 1

Friday

Grandma Dona came down for the weekend, and on Friday we spent some time out back, grilling dinner and watching Amelia play.

She was throwing stuff into her pool, and I asked her if she wanted to get in. She replied "yes", so I chucked her in, fully clothed.

She was shocked at first, but then laughed, pulled off her wet dress and started playing.

Saturday

This morning, we all got up and had breakfast. Then, Chris and I drove down to our old condo to do some work to prepare for finding new renters. Amelia spent the day with Grandma!

My dad came over to help, as did a friend (Amelia's best friend's dad). The men laid a new kitchen floor, much painting was done, and other little things.

Later, we all headed back to Delaware and had a big dinner at a local Mexican joint -- Amelia, Chris and I, Grandma Dona, Grandpa Larry, and (Amelia's buddy) Joey and his family.

Grandpa went home, and everyone else went back to our house for a quick walk down the street to get some ice cream.

Joey wandered off and found Amelia's pool. His mommy tossed him in! So Amelia jumped in right after and it was time for another night of impromptu swimming!

I dragged over her slide and made a make-shift water slide for them.

Sunday

Again on Sunday, Chris and I went to work in Columbus, and Amelia spent a good chunk of the day with Grandma.

We returned from working to find Amelia napping. We said our goodbyes to Grandma Dona, as she headed home.

When Amelia woke up, she wanted to go swimming. This time, we outfitted her properly.
