Weekend Fun! August 6-8

Friday 8/6

On this day, our babysitter had a day off, so Chris spent the morning hanging out with his favorite little girl. They went to the park!

Ready to go:

She was loving the swinging!

Videos:

Snack break!

And back to playtime:

And then they came home for lunch and Daddy said goodbye for a little trip out of town:

Goofy girl wearing her "swim bubbles" (goggles):

Later, Amelia and I went out for a girls' night out.

Starting with a trip to Costco, in a (failed) attempt to replace that tire that Daddy popped a few hours earlier:

But we did have dinner!

We came back to town to find the First Friday events still going on, and Amelia sat in a fire truck:

It was a fun night!

Saturday 8/7

Breakfast time! Pancakes!

And then we went downtown to the Farmer's Market and to the grocery store after:

We came home for nap time, and after, Amelia and I shared a fresh fruit smoothie (yum!):

And she spent the next hour in her favorite spot - her pool!

Rescuing her duckies from the "cave":

Favorite part!

Looking under water with her goggles:

Happiness!

Super Silly!

Next, she was trying to splash me:

She figured out that she was too far away and came to get me:

She had a great time playing for about an hour!

I was trying to get her to smile and she was trying so hard not to.... she closed her eyes, so she couldn't see my silly faces:

But I got her regardless:

And then Daddy made it home -- YAY!!!

Sunday 8/8

We found out that on Sunday morning, they were offering free entrance to the Dublin Irish Festival for a couple of hours, with a food pantry donation, so we knew what our plans for the day would be!

Enjoying an Irish snack:

And Amelia enjoyed the free bounce house in the toddler zone -- this was her first bounce house experience!

She loved going up this ladder....

And down the slide on the other side:

Video:

And she also enjoyed some play time with the other toddler toys:

And she was so excited to win a Geiko gecko on a prize wheel!

She made friends with a few Irish-heritage doggies:

Next, we found ourselves watching some Irish music and dancing. During the music, she was doing her own version of irish stepping (video):

Before the dancing began, all the little kids were out on the floor. Amelia desperately ran around, hoping someone would dance with her....

But, alas, she danced alone:

Before we left, she said hi to a pony:

We had a great time at the festival!

Back at home, after her nap... you know what Amelia wanted to do!

Another great weekend!
