Weekend Fun! October 8-10

Friday 10/8

Chris was out of town this weekend, so the girls were on our own!

First up -- Campus Homecoming dinner!

Checking out the food:

Loving the dessert options! Chocolate cupcake....

Dancing to the band!

Playing with one of her best buddies:

We had a great night - stayed for about 2 1/2 hours! Plenty of food, music and friends to keep us entertained for the night!

Saturday 10/9

All dressed up and ready for some fun!

We drove west to visit my family, before an afternoon birthday party for one of Amelia's buddies.

First, we stopped in to see Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa.

Showing off her "reading" skills:

She disappeared for a minute, and this is where I found her -- snuggling in their bed!

Wait... where did she go?

Saying goodbye to Grandpa:

Next, we headed over to see Grandpa Larry.

Taking in a book:

Lunchtime!!

She took a little nap - just a refresher - and then we headed outside to play a bit.

Check out this throw! Chris thinks this is the epitome of good form, and is planning to show it to his Motor Learning class.

Checking out a passing airplane:

And our final stop of the day - Maximo's 1st birthday party!!

Amelia got into the sweets early....

Yet, she saved some room for a little snack:

Birthday boy!!!

Amelia got a little ride around the property:

And then they played a little game of basketball:

Check out this smooth dunk!

Cupcake time!!

Not really understanding how to play cornhole...

Showing off the new hat that Lisa gave her:

Check out this sassy:

Doing some digging, before it was time to go:

Yes, Max... this is true

Amelia had such a blast with all of our stops on this day, that she fell asleep as soon as we started heading for home. She didn't really wake much when we got home, so I just changed her into her pj's and put her in bed.

She woke up, still wearing her new hat:

Sunday 10/10

Ready for church!!

We went to church and then ran some errands after, before coming home for a nap.

Daddy arrived home while she was sleeping, and we got her up and dressed to go to the Italian Festival!

Her shirt came from Italy and says "Nato Perfetto" ("born perfect").

Heading into the festival:

She heard something - maybe a train horn - and stopped in her tracks to listen:

They had fun rides for the little ones, and she LOVED this one:

Next, she made a pasta necklace:

Then, the train ride through the festival:

And finally..... dinner!!

Amelia gave the gnocchi a stamp of approval:

And she was a fan of Mommy's spaghetti, too:

She made friends with another table - who were celebrating their friend's birthday.... and they gave her a piece of their yummy cake:

Such a cute little con artist.

It was a great weekend!
