We had a circus in town, and I thought I would take Amelia. Two of her buddies tagged along with us:
The circus was a small affair, but I was surprised that they had everything I would expect from a circus, including...
Lions and a tiger (1 lion is jumping over 2 buddies):
Arial acts:
... and elephants, horses, jugglers, clowns, etc...
They were pretty big on selling a LOT of stuff to the crowd, and since we missed the p0ny rides at the beginning, Amelia talked me into a consolation prize:
Amelia and her friend watching one of the acts:
It was a fun show, but probably one we will skip the next time it comes through!
Friday 4/8
We didn't do much of anything this night.
Saturday 4/9
Amelia's dance class started this morning -- all dressed and ready to go in her leotard, tights, slippers and ballet slipper necklace:
Ready for class to start:
And then the shyness sets in....
At this point, the parents were kicked out (boo)
From what I could see the few times I peeked, she was not all that into participating. It seems our little girl really does have a shy side to her! Hopefully she will get more into things in future classes.
Next, Chris and Amelia had a little fun together while I was shopping.
Yogurt snack:
Testing out some bikes:
The bike shop said that she's ready for this size bike -- 16" with training wheels. But she wasn't terribly confident on it, and she's still working on her pedaling skills.
So we settled for this one -- a (used) tricycle - until she's ready to try again with the bigger ones:
Taking it out for a spin:
The cool thing about it is that you can give her a push, or let her go at it alone, and the handle is detachable too:
The confidence and independence sets in, temporarily:
And back home, in a trusty old favorite:
Further enjoying the spring day:
