Friday

Saturday

In the morning, we got up and got ready to head out to run some errands.

Luca decided to take a quick nap on Mommy:

We did some running around and shopping all morning, and grabbed a quick lunch.

Amelia was very well-behaved, so she got a treat:

We came back home for naps and such.

Luca was all decked out in his OSU gear.... but then they lost... oh well.

Sunday

As I mentioned previously, we had Luca baptised a few weeks ago at the church we used to attend (and are still members of). However, the church we currently attend elects to do baby "dedications" instead of baptisms. So.... we double dipped and had Luca dedicated on Sunday.

He was super-fussy at church, which is out of the norm for him. The congregation was rather amused when he spit up all over the place. And then he cried. Oh well... it was nice anyway!

The weekend was rounded out by the city's annual Christmas parade. It was drizzling the whole time, but Amelia and I braved the weather to watch the parade (and gather a load of candy!)

Week 10 & Weekend Fun - November 11-13

Friday 11/11

Princess Cinderella was suffering from a bit of a cold last week, so Friday night was spent watching Cinderella, while eating a snack:

Chris was gone Friday night, so I had my hands full trying to get Amelia bathed and ready for bed, but Luca not wanting to be put down. At one point, I just left him having some "tummy time" on a pillow on my bed. When I returned a couple of minutes later, he was passed out!

Saturday 11/12

On Saturday morning, I had an event at church, so Chris was on kid duty. He shared a couple of pictures...

We got a baby gift for Luca in the mail from a family member -- Amelia was super excited that they included something for her, too!

A ladybug pillow pet! This was perfect, because she hunts ladybugs in our house (they were coming in where we had a window a/c unit - it's now gone)

Amelia and Luca had a sitter later, just for a couple of hours, because there was an event for Amelia's preschool. It was the first time we had a non-family sitter for the 2 of them and it went well!

Sunday 11/13

We went to church and Chris played guitar in the worship band. We headed home after church and hung out there for the rest of the day.

What a low-key weekend! But it was nice!

Christmas is Coming!!

OH no.... Christmas is coming!

We're busy doing our Holiday prep, and one big thing on my list is to order Christmas cards! Oh wait... I need Christmas pictures first! Eek!

Last year I lucked out and got a great deal on some cards, and used pictures we took ourselves at a local conservatory.

This year, I've been eyeing the cute designs that Tinyprints.com has to offer...

I like the kind of card that doesn't get tossed right away.... that earns it spot hanging in a place of honor.

We'll see... maybe you'll get a holiday card like this in your mailbox this year!

I was pulling pictures off the camera and when I got to this one, I busted out laughing. He looks like such the charmer! A little ladies man!

Week 9 & Weekend Fun - November 4-6

Luca is 9 weeks old!

Friday night we stayed home and did some cleaning and such.

But the kids had a little bit of fun...

I thought it would be fun to let the kiddos try to take a bath "together":

It was fairly awkward logistically, so we'll stick to the regular method of Luca's tub going in the kitchen sink and Amelia bathing in her tub.

Saturday:

Luca chilled in his chair, while we packed up some stuff:

Then we hit the road and stopped in to see my grandparents:

They'd only met Luca when he was just a few days old, so they enjoyed seeing how much he'd changed:

Amelia did her usual thing of jumping into the bed in her Grandma Cathy's old room. I put Luca in there with her:

We neglected to bring Luca's bathtub with us. We experimented with Amelia helping hold him up in the tub:

He hated it.... especially when Amelia let go....

We stayed overnight at Grandpa Larry's house. I failed to get him in any pictures!!

Sunday:

Sunday was a pretty bad picture day -- these are all cell phone pics, with no special sibling picture in their church clothes.

We went to my brother's church, because my youngest nephew was taking his first holy communion.

It was a nice service, and we enjoyed the family time.

Amelia skipped her nap, and eventually the day caught up with her....

We were driving back and suddenly realized that our highly vocal child was suddenly silent. We had two napping babies in the backseat... it was nice.
