Day FOUR!
We spent this day around the town we were staying in - Manhattan Beach.
The kids slept in a little more than the first few days.
A flower amongst the flowers:
We walked a few blocks down to have lunch with some friends of Mommy's, but stopped and let Amelia lay in the sand for a few minutes:
Lunch time:
Coloring with one of Mommy's friends:
Another friend brought Amelia a Hello Kitty backpack (she works for the company)!
Brunch -- chocolate chip pancakes!
After lunch, we headed down to the beach. Luca and Daddy went back so Luca could nap, and Amelia spent about 4 hours on the beach while they were gone!
Digging a hole with a new friend:
Another new friend:
And another!
Amelia was desperately trying to do hand stands on the beach...
VIDEOS:
Amelia begged me to bury her:
Where'd she go?? She had me do this when Daddy was coming, and he truly couldn't find her!
There they are! This was about 4 hours into our beach time:
Mommy was starting to burn, so I headed back. But they stayed out another hour after that! I think Amelia was there 6 hours overall.
Supper time! They were wearing their pj's, because everyone got showers after the beach.
Play time:
It was my aunt's birthday, so we celebrate that night:
Day FIVE!
Pictures of sleeping babies... we don't get these opportunities often :)
This day we spent the morning in Hollywood with our friends Brian and Lily.
Ready to go:
Meeting Brian and Lily's puppies:
Fast friends:
Old friends!
We went to the Hollywood farmer's market.
Balloons!
We bought some strawberries, and they were so good, they were gone before we left the market:
Amelia loved these bees:
A local church had a ministry event, and both kids painted little airplanes:
We left the market and drove up the hill to get closer to the Hollywood sign that Amelia was dying to see:
We said goodbye to our friends!
And then we headed way south to Anaheim to see an Angels game!
Little A next to the big A:
As soon as we left the ballpark, both kids fell asleep:
So we drove over to Long Beach and took a peek at the Queen Mary:
And then we drove up the PCH.
The kids woke up right when we got to Hermosa Beach, so we got out and walked around:
Silly girl in a store window:
Cousins ready for dinner:
Playtime!
The little ones especially were really into this book:
Bath time! The kids loved their tub:
A little more play time before bed!
