We walked down the boardwalk together and popped into the shops that interested us.
Amelia got LOTS of attention from the sea gulls while she was eating her mid-morning snack:
We bought a few souvenirs, and Amelia picked out a lovely fish wind-sock (to be seen in a later post).
We had a kind of "so-so" lunch. I guess in a town that is aimed so much at tourists, even a local's recommendation may not meet your usual standards.
But Amelia enjoyed the music, view and the food:
When we got back to Dewey, it was raining, so the beach was out of the question. So we went to a few of the shops at the local outlet mall.
After dinner, we headed back to Rehoboth to walk around. We discovered a wonderful taste sensation - Annie's Banannies!! This was Chris's dream. It had the complete consistency of ice cream, but was totally made from bananas, so thus it was non-dairy. We went back 2 more times before we left the area, because it was that good. Chris has been trying to re-create it, now that we're home, and I have to say - he's pretty close!
