And now a commercial break from the vacation synopsis....

A post about life at the beach!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo just 2 blocks from the beach. In this picture, you can see the view from our balcony to the beach - it's just 1 block to the corner (Hwy 1) and then 1 more block to the beach.

And then the view to the other direction is a bay:

So it was definitely a beautiful location.

What I somehow missed in all my research is that Dewey is a bit of a party town. It's super quiet and beautiful during the day, but then around 7pm, the noise level slowly creeps up. It seems to be a big area for 20-30-somethings (both tourists and summer workers) that want to party. Thankfully, our neighbors weren't too bad, and Amelia's white noice machine drowned everything out for her. As for us... we were woken a few times, but we were so happy that our girl slept so well, we didn't care too much.

And she slept great! Great overnights and great naps, all week. She loved marching around our home for the week, playing with her toys and getting into trouble.

We cooked at home 2 meals/day and really used this place well.
