Terrific Thursday!

Random pictures from the past week:

Amelia modeling the new sweater that Christine sent her for Valentine's Day. What's funny is that she dug out this hat to go with it, which Christine had given to her, too.

Cooking with Daddy:

I got her that apron at the Farmer's Market last year. It was made by a nice lady from a pair of old jeans. She's just now starting to maybe fit into it!

Enjoying a blueberry smoothie:

Working with Daddy (he's grading, she's snacking):

On Wednesday night, we had Michelle, Kevin and Carrie over for dinner.

Carrie and Amelia snuggling:

Michelle was doing something funny with her tongue, which Amelia was trying, too, but she just HAD to touch her tongue. :)

Enjoying the cookie that Mommy picked up at the store:

And now you see why I got it -- it came with a Mickey ring on it!

As the night progressed, Amelia got more wild, and then she wanted horsie rides from everyone:

Really enjoying the ride from Michelle:

It was a fun night! Amelia was really well behaved, and even helped retrieve the dirty dishes!

Weekend Fun!

We had a nice, somewhat quiet weekend!

On Friday night, it was the usual happy hour hangout. Amelia was HUNGRY that night -- we are pretty sure that she ate for about an hour straight.

She ate her own kid's meal (the usual - grilled cheese and glazed carrots):

And then started working on Colleen's leftovers:

Sweet potato fries -- YUM!

It's funny, because she usually plows through her carrots pretty quickly, but only eats 1/2 of the grilled cheese. Often, she passes her leftovers to her buddy, Carrick. But that night, she ate her whole meal, some of Colleen's, and did her usual munching off of our food, too.

On Saturday morning, Amelia got some cute stuff on, and went with Mommy to the grocery store, while Daddy graded papers:

She loves the new shoes that Mommy got for her!

When we got back, she was such a helper, assisting Daddy with the putting away of the groceries:

And then it was time for lunch. I took her shirt off, so she wouldn't get it all messy, while slurping down a banana smoothie.

It was a good choice:

After a nice long nap, she enjoyed a raisin snack, before we headed out for the evening:

She's laughing in this picture, because she had burped and I was mimicking her:

We went over to our friends, Dee and Joe's house for dinner. Amelia entertained us with her antics.

She was being goofy, and using chips to scoop up some fruit:

And laughing when Joe was making faces across the table from her (that's cake on her face):

She had a GREAT time playing with Dee and Joe -- especially enjoying Joe's airplane rides!

On Sunday morning, she was pretty groggy all morning, from having so much fun the night before.

We had a fun time playing around the house in the morning, but then we had plans to go out, because Chris and I had tickets to a show and Amelia had a playdate planned with Joey's family.

A quick peanut butter and pita snack before we left:

First, we stopped for lunch at the North Market - YUM!

Amelia the helper put her high chair away:

High-five from Daddy:

And off to go meet up with Joey!

Amelia got a nap in Joey's car - to rest up for playtime at the mall:

After Mommy and Daddy's show was over, we headed over to meet up with them and watch Amelia play a little more.

She LOVED the play area at this Mall -- it was our first time at that one.

She kept climbing over this space shuttle:

She wasn't a fan of being on top though:

Here are some videos of Amelia playing at the play area.

[Again, hit pause and let the video load before watching!]

In that one, check out around the 29 second mark - she seems to be having a moment with the boy in the striped sweater.

In that one, check out the adorable smile she gives me at the 22 second mark.

Terrific Thursday!

Some fun pictures from the week!

This is how she likes to finish her cereal in the morning -- drinking the milk (like Daddy!):

Ready for school!

In a goofy outfit that Mommy put her in:

Climbing on the couch, like a bad little girl:

Wearing Daddy's hat:

Playing peek-a-boo with Mommy under the table:

Peek-a-boo!!

Ready for bedtime!

Time to head upstairs!

Amelia's bottom 2-year molars are both cutting this week, so she's not been going to sleep very well at night. We give her tylenol and hugs and kisses, but she just can't relax and go to sleep. It's strange, because she doesn't fuss the rest of the day, but I guess the quietness of the night in bed reminds her that she has something to be upset about.

She's started to spontaneously say "I love you", instead of just repeating it back when we say it. It's really very sweet. "I love you daddy!"

Weekend Fun!

What a weekend! It really made up for our sick weekend last week.

On Friday night, Chris went to a hockey game with my dad.

So this left Amelia and me to enjoy the downtown First Friday and annual Chocolate Walk (rescheduled from previous week, due to snow).

First, came dinner.... well, actually first came a lollipop:

And then after dinner, we picked up our bag and map for the Chocolate Walk.

Amelia enjoyed picking out her chocolate pieces, and stickers and such for her valentines:

She was very deliberate in her picking:

And quite messy with her chocolate eating:

Surprisingly, she wasn't all that hard to put to bed that night.

And when she woke up in the morning, Grandpa was there!

Watching cartoons with "Gampa" and Penny:

Daddy needed to grade papers, so Amelia decided she had some papers to work (color) on too:

Playing hide-and-seek with Grandpa:

And then Amelia and Grandpa worked on valentines together:

After Amelia's nap, we all piled in the car and went to the mall play area. It was nice getting out of the house!

Grandpa helping Amelia:

Little climber:

Jumping into Daddy's waiting arms:

So much fun!!

Such a happy little cutie:

Getting a lift from Grandpa:

It was around this time that some random guy stopped Chris and told him that Amelia belonged in a Baby Gap ad. We've heard things like that a lot, but wouldn't even know how to get her that kind of gig! :)

That night, we just hung around the house.

On Sunday, we all went to church together.

Amelia was being a stinker and refusing to let me take a nice picture of her in her church outfit:

I think she was mad that I put away her Valentine's candy. Oh well.

Grandpa headed back shortly after Amelia woke from her afternoon nap. It was a nice visit!
