Amelia had a day off from her babysitter's house, so she went to "work" with Daddy.
Watching cartoons on Daddy's big monitor:

Running errands around campus -- she's mimicking the person on the sign:
Later, she got a bit of Mommy time, when we went to dinner with some friends:

Fun girls' night!

Fun girls' night!
I loved how their outfits (inadvertantly) matched on this day (brown and pink):

Amelia was excited about Grandpa's impending visit!

He made it! Showing Grandpa around the backyard - especially Grandma's tree:

Dinner with the family on the back patio:

Breakfast with the scooter folks at the North Market:

Checking out all of the scooters outside:

Every year, a friend of ours takes a picture of Amelia in Chris's scooter and we have the progression of these on our wall. This year, our friend was out of the country, so I attempted to take the shot:

This was the day of the Scooter rally down in Columbus!
All ready in her (Italian) scooter shirt:

We saw one of the famed cheetahs that Jack Hanna always takes around on the talk shows:

These cheetahs are so well known, because they were raised along with two dogs, as a big family. This allows the cheetahs to each be in a different place, accompanied by their dog "sibling".

The cheetah and his dog pal:

Then, we headed over to see the polar bears, and lucky us, they were swimming!

Getting out and shaking off:

Thinking about another jump (he never did):

We headed back across the zoo to see a show by the weekend's special guest -- Jack Hanna!

He was heckling a woman who left early -- threatening to put that large snake in her bag:

He signed a book that I bought for Amelia -- about the cheetah/dog experiment:

When Chris returned from the rally, he and my dad went on a bike ride:

We went into the sheep barn and laughed at them going "BAAAAA!" at her:

Baby sheep nibbling at her:

As we walked by a horse barn, this girl offered to help Amelia get up close and personal with a horse!

And another one!

The game was pretty bad, so the girls won the night when it came to who had the best time!
Sunday 9/19
Amelia and I had a girls' night at the Fair!
Eating popcorn and checking out a cow:

All dressed up for church:

After church, we stopped for some lunch, and Amelia got a little horsie ride:

And checked out all the pumpkins:

Going for a little pre-nap ride:

Doing a little dance on the patio:

Pretty girl....

While the kid was napping, Grandpa was test-driving a car for sale across the street [You'll have to stay tuned to find out what he thought!]:

After her nap, we all went on a family bike ride:
Along our route, Amelia found a special prize at a garage sale (princess dress for $1!)
Saying goodbye to Grandpa:
Of course, we couldn't get that dress off of her for our trip to the grocery store...
