Weekend Fun! September 3-6

Friday 9/3

On Friday night, we headed over to spend the weekend with my family.


Amelia was excited to see everyone:

She loved hanging out with her "cousin" Charlie:

And, of course, Grandma!

She enjoyed playing with everyone, including Uncle Brent (still in from TX):

And Uncle Ron (still in from CA):

We had a nice family cook-out!

Saturday 9/4

We hopped in the car early and headed to Kings Island, a local amusement park:

We spent the day there as a family! (another 7 family members were en route)

Time to head in and have some fun!

My nephew, Ethan, wanted to ride this one, and his (pregnant) mom passed..... it was fun! :)

Amelia's first ride:

She had a good time! Her favorite was this helicopter ride with a 60 minute wait..... but she provided the entertainment.

After a few hours of fun, we headed out of the park for a picnic lunch:

After lunch, and a few more rides, I went on this crazy flying contraption with my brother and my uncle:

Later, my nephew Stephen kept me company in the 60 minute line for the FireHawk --- totally awesome and totally worth it.

I came back to find Amelia and her cousin having some toddler bonding time:

Chris, Amelia and I split off of the group to find some dinner, and some ice cream!!!

It was a really great day.... a definite possibility for a family tradition!

Sunday 9/5

We went to church with Grandpa, and Amelia had a great time in the nursery there.

After, we went to Marion's for pizza with the family -- for uncle Brent's birthday!

Later, my brother and his family came back with us to our house, for an overnight.

Monday 9/6 -Labor Day!

My brother's family, Amelia and I went to COSI (local science museum)
