On this day, we headed into 2 of the hill towns of Tuscany -- Volterra and San Gimignano.
First, a few hours in Volterra:
Heading into town:

The Palazzo dei Priori, in the main square of Volterra:

We stopped for a nice lunch:
Amelia mostly eating bread.... not all that uncommon:

View of the hillside from Volterra:

View back at the city:

After we left there, we stopped at a farm co-op that Chris and I discovered on our last trip to Italy. Amelia enjoyed their swing:

After buying a few items, we moved on, driving through the Tuscan countryside:

We came next to San Gimignano:

We headed up the main path into the city -- a very beautiful city. It was packed with tourists, but you could still see past that and admire the amazing architecture.

However, Amelia missed the whole stop, because she was napping the whole time! One member of our group stayed back at all times to keep an eye on our sleeping beauty:

After we left there, we stopped back at Borgo Poneta, our favorite locale in all of Tuscany (where we honeymooned and also visited earlier this trip).
Amelia enjoyed the playground that they had there:
We drove home after a long, but nice, day of driving around the hill towns of Tuscany.
