Daddy and Luca, just after he was born and all cleaned up:
My dad arrived just after he was born, and came in to meet his new grandson (grandchild #10!)
We were soon moved to our post-partum room, where we all bonded with Luca, and Mommy got some food!
Grandma Dona arrived a few hours later:
When we knew the baby was coming, we called a friend in town and asked her to come and be at our house for when Amelia woke up. Dee did the morning routine, and drove Amelia to her babysitter's house for the day.
At pickup time, Grandpa Larry drove up to pick her up and bring her to the hospital. Amelia was super-excited to meet her new brother!

It really was a great day. Luca picked a perfect day to arrive, the day after his big sister started preschool. Family arrived quickly to meet him, and we also had visits from friends Michelle and Melissa.
He is such a sweet little guy, but we've had to work on him staying awake enough to eat.
